XP Turn off for losses

Recommended Posts

Can you turn off XP gain in battlegrounds for losses? Or at least reduce it heavily? Because at the moment the battleground situation is a farce, as almost anyone who's taken part in the lower level battlegrounds knows. This is especially true for the 79 bracket. The battlegrounds start and literally half (sometimes more) of the horde stand still, agree to afk, and stand at spawn point when they're rezzed just giving free honor and wins for alliance.

This is even resulting in many alliance players turning off their xp at 79 not because they're twinks or have any interest in PVP at all, but because it's such an easy honor farm.

Look at the battleground details and choose any random battle and see for yourself.

It's a farce and needs fixing.

Or just make bracket for 79 twinks cuz even if some player at 70 is fighting in every BG and trying to do his best is getting rekt cuz he has 6k hp and twink rogue deals 6500 with ambush XD

U are right but people aren't afk from the beginning, maybe 1 or 2 person. It's all decides after 1st fight, or even without it, just look at theirs levels, of course u gonna lose it if they got 4x79 with 20k hp and biggest level in ur team is like 77, rest is around 70-73, there is no point to fight, it's better to give up and get 200k exp in 5 minutes than fighting and getting 200k in 25 minutes, or even 500k if u win it somehow.

And yeah, if half of the team or even more decides to stay afk and let them win, they are not ressing themselves to do not give them free honor or xp

It's not like they afk on purpose. The main reason is that alliance has hefty amount of 79 lvl twinks.

Almost every BG in 79 bracket alliance team is allways few twinks + cannon fodder who gets carried while horde team barely has anyone over 77 lvl and it has to be a miracle to have 1 twink.

At the end not giving up for horde is nothing more than delaying the inevitable. And people see that and they just decide to let alliance win only to get that loser xp faster.

Removing XP gain on losing won't help with anything, the only thing what will happen is that lvling horde players will no longer play on battlegrounds and 79 lvl alliance twinks will be stuck in permanent queue.

This entire situation is a result of not separating queues for twinks and levelling people, as it should be on this patch. In result, the outcome is already known before bg even begins - the side with twinks wins every time unless all twinks simultaneously quit or something equally unlikely happens, making the game feel pointless.

I am aware that in past the queue was intentionally non-separated due to a (imo flawed) argument that "if there are no twinks, there will be no BGs at all". To which I raise answer, current situation is arguably worse from leveller's PoV than no BGs at all. There is very much enough people to fuel levelling battlegrounds without twinks, and keeping twinks with them increasingly discourages levellers from participation.

It's weird, on one side they increase the XP given by BGs, like they're saying hey, feel free to level like this and in fact much people does. But on the other side, they allow twinks to play in the same brackets, and we know that one twink can turn a match. So it's almost like they are trying to provide the most unfun and frustrating experience to the new players, especially now that many new players are levelling in BGs. Seriously, i don't get it, especially because people has been asking for a change many times already.
